Across East Anglia, thousands of older adults carry stories, memories and voices that are disappearing quietly. dospeak CIC exists to change that. It captures unscripted human voices through warm, therapeutic 1-1 storytelling sessions and preserves them as lasting keepsakes for families and communities.
We visit care homes, community hubs and over-55 developments across East Anglia, delivering gentle, unscripted reminiscence storytelling session recording with adults aged 55 and over. A care-experienced facilitator leads every session, and every participant receives a beautiful, lasting keepsake of their voice.
A therapeutic, enjoyable experience-and a physical keepsake that preserves a loved one's voice, stories and dialect forever.
Ethically captured, consent-driven voice data that helps AI developers build speech models that actually work for elderly and regional voices.
Bookings open November 2026- Register your interest now and we'll be in touch as soon as sessions go live!
We treat every participant's voice the same way- not as a fading memory, but as a valuable, irreplaceable, human asset worth capturing, preserving and celebrating.
The NFC (Near Field Communication) pebble is free for community participants. A simple, lasting keepsake for every family who takes part.
For those who want something more, the dospeak Voice Cube is a premium engraved glass keepsake: a laser-etched voiceprint on a recycled base, with a backlit QR code linking back to the original recording. Available to families and sponsors, with proceeds helping keep community sessions free for everyone else.

Capturing someone's voice is a privilege, not a transaction. Every stage of dospeak's process is built around consent, dignity, and the right to change your mind.
Appropriate for participants with fluctuating or reduced capacity. Consent is sought at the point of collection, not assumed afterwards.
Voice cloning is strictly prohibited at every stage of the pipeline. Always. Raw audio can be withdrawn at any time by the participant or their LPA. No questions, no friction, no problems.
Anonymised derivative data falls outside the definition of personal data once properly stripped of identifiers, protecting both the participant and the integrity of the research. Purpose-built data consent at the point of collection is a stronger position than anonymising administrative data after the fact- the more common, and legally contested, approach.
We speak with the care home or family to arrange a visit and ensure clear, informed consent, or Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) consent, is in place before anything begins.
A relaxed, conversational recording session at the participant's own pace. No pressure, no rigid scripts. Just warm, guided storytelling.
Audio is securely processed and anonymised for research, while a physical pebble keepsake is custom-crafted with the participant's clear voice audio.
The finished physical keepsake is delivered to the participant and family. Preserving their voice, story and dialect forever.
dospeak was founded to bridge the gap between valuable linguistic research and a meaningful personal legacy. By combining respectful, in-person voice collection with custom-crafted physical keepsakes, we ensure that every participant's unique voice, dialect and story are honoured and preserved for generations. The founders' career and passion for technology and social impact have led to creating dospeak.
